An SBI research report has praised the Modi Government’s micro-credit PM SVANidhi scheme for street vendors for ensuring inclusive entrepreneurship. It said nearly 75 percent of its beneficiaries come from the non-general category with the OBCs accounting for 44 percent.
The report said, that the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes account for 22 percent of the total disbursement of the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme, while 43 percent of the total beneficiaries are women.
